GWR 4575 class 2-6-2T No 5541 pilots a Dukedog class 4-4-0 up Tallerdigg bank with a train from the Cambrian Coast to Shrewsbury in c1938.

Peter Kerslake adds "5541 was based at Machynlleth, the engine spending 22 years working on the Cambrian before going to Laira in January 1960 from where it worked the Tavistock and Launceston line until withdrawal in July 1962. Saved from the cutters' torches at Barry scrapyard 5541 was an early purchase by the Forest of Dean preservation group in November 1972 where it remains today."
