44836 1950s Harrow & Wealdstone
As the result of the dreadful double accident of the 8th. October , 1952 here in the station at Harrow and Wealdstone part of the overhead footbridge shown in this view was brought down when the early morning express from Euston to Liverpool and Manchester struck the wreckage of the overnight Perth to Euston sleeper which had a few minutes earlier hit a local Tring to Euston commuter train.
It all looks so normal here , and I wonder whether this view is from before or after that fateful day.
