44897 1966 Birmingham Snow Hill
No.44897 has made its way through the station and is waiting to take its train through the southern tunnel. The ‘Class 5’ had been transferred from Mold Junction to Shrewsbury in April 1966. The advertisement above the loaded cattle van showed the Birmingham Theatre was hosting The National Dance Troup of Sierra Leone with their ‘Pulsating Exciting Rhythms of Africa’, commencing on Monday 20th June 1966.
