Heading a June 1964 down 15:25 Manchester to Newcastle relief train, 'Bon Accord' passes through gentle County Durham countryside at Ferryhill on the southern approaches to Durham. A brake tender fitted diesel on a freight, is on the ex-NER West Harllepool branch that diverges on the left. BR Peppercorn 'A1' 4-6-2 No. 60154 was built at Doncaster in Sept. 1949 and was withdrawn in Oct. 1965.
