60154 Bon Accord looks to be ex Works with new paintwork. Probably newly repainted in BR green livery. From Aug 1951 all A1s were repainted green as they passed through works. With the amount of coal in tender, I would suggest that the trial running trip to Barkston has already taken place and has been coaled-up on return to depot. North End appears very light of locos for a Sunday and I wonder if this is a mid-week photo. On a Saturday or Sunday, stabled locos would be blocking this view and I am thinking that the Footplate/Shed Man visible has been designated as Visitor Attendant, for a visitor with a Shed Pass.
