Fresh from overhaul at Darlington, B16/3 No 61439 is stopped near Norton East on a running in turn on Friday 6th May 1960. This was the day that Princess Margaret was being married, and the school was given a holiday. This B16 had the misfortune of being the first rebuilt member of the class to suffer withdrawal, which took place in August 1962.
