With good views and plenty of action, Bagthorpe Junction in Nottingham was a favourite location for photographers. NER designed Raven/Thompson 'B16/3' 4-6-0 No. 61444 is heading a down freight on the ex-GCR route towards Annesley in the early 1960s. The former GN lines joined at the junction from both left and right just beyond the signal in the distance. 61444 was built at Darlington in May 1923 as LNER No. 2373 and was withdrawn in June 1964.
