The ex-Great Northern Railway Ivatt 'N1' 0-6-2 Tanks were built as both Condenser-fitted for London suburban workings and non-Condenser versions, mostly for duties in Yorkshire's West Riding. 69453 is the latter type, seen here at Doncaster MPD after an overhaul at 'The Plant'. It awaits return to its home allocation Ardsley MPD, sited midway between Wakefield and Leeds. Photo dated April 1956.
