Ardsley MPD, situated midway between Wakefield and Leeds on the GNR/GCR route was one of my 'locals' and regularly visited on Sunday by bicycle. In spite of this, my collection features very few photographs of this shed. No matter, here's a very typical resident, ex-GNR Ivatt 'N1' 69453, a class that served for nearly 50 years handling 'local' trains on some very stiff gradients throughout the West Riding.
