S&DJtR 7F 2-8-0 No 53805 heads a southbound goods near Corfe Mullen on 21st June 1960.

Peter Kerslake says "Corfe Mullen was at the start of a very short single line section of the Somerset and Dorset at the southernmost section of the line, the single line running down to what was virtually the end of the Somerset and Dorset at Broadstone as the tracks from there were Southern Region territory heading through Poole, Parkstone and Branscombe to Bournemouth West.
The last of the six 7F's built at the Midland Railway's principal works at Derby, 53805 is seen here with a mixed freight in the late years of the line".
