S&DJR 7F 2-8-0 No 53805 with a southbound goods climbing out of Bath on 30 May 1960.

Peter Kerslake says " With Bath in the background Class 7F 53805 climbs away on the single line section of track from Bath Junction on a rising grade to the summit at Combe Down tunnel, and with the line being a single section to Midford the crew would have collected the necessary tablet from Bath Junction signal box.
The wagons look to be empty coal ones, possibly on their way back to the Norton Hill colliery at Midsomer Norton".
