Super power as ‘G2’No.49173 and ‘8F’ No.48764 drag a long freight northwards out of Bescot yard in 1963. The G2 was one of the last four of theformer LNWR 0-8-0s working out their final days from Bescot in 1964. They were diagrammed for three duties in the summer schedules which commenced on 13th June.
