No.84006 had been transferred to Wellingborough in early 1959 along with classmates Nos.84007 and 84008 for use on the Higham Ferrers branch and the Northampton and Hitchin push-pull services. This picture taken on 5th November 1959 shows the vacuum control gear used for controlling the regulator from the rear coach of the motor fitted trains.
