82003 1962c Llyngwril

Standard Class Three 82003 takes on water here on the down line at Llyngwril looking towards Towyn with its fireman doing a balancing act on the front bufferbeam whilst his driver mans the water column, this class proving to be of limited use on the Cambrian system due mainly to their limited water capacity and later being replaced by the larger Standard Class Two design . Llwyngwril was situated some seventeen miles from Dovey Junction on the line between Aberystwyth and Barmouth and provided a passing point on what was a single and severely graded line .
