Berkeley Road station , on the Midland Region's main line between Gloucester and Bristol , was the end of the branch line from Sharpness which , before the accidental destruction of the Severn Bridge on the 25th October of 1960, had extended across the Severn down into Lydney, on the edge of the Forest of Dean
The Special seen here appears to be on that Sharpness branch and if I am correct the lines just visible on the extreme right are the main lines to and from Bristol .
My 1956 shedbook had 82036 allocated to Barry at that time
