41231 at Wrexham Rhosddu on 22 February 1959 was one of eight Ivatt 2-6-2Ts transferred to, the former Great Central Railway shed at Wrexham which came under LMR control from April 1949, in the mid-1950s to replace ex-GCR C13 4-4-2Ts. They took over the trains from Wrexham Central to Chester Northgate and to Seacombe (Wallasey).
