41266 was only ever allocated to Manningham and was withdrawn from there in November 1962 and stored at the shed until at least May 1963. Here it is devoid of coupling and connecting rods prior to scrapping in Crewe Works. In the way of 1960s British Railways, it had been fitted with AWS in June 1961.

On 12 May 1963 41266 (Wdn) & 42189 were recorded on 55F Manningham shed so it is almost certain that this is that shed. 41266 did not go to Crewe for cutting until at least mid May 1963
