Ivatt 2MT 2-6-2T No.41224 has plenty of steam to spare as it prepares to depart from Turvey on 22nd February 1962.
Built in October 1948 at Crewe Works and originally allocated to Bangor shed in North Wales, it arrived at Bedford in October 1959 and remained there until March 1962 when it moved to Wellingborough and subsequently to the Southern Region.
