Ex-South Eastern & Chatham Railway Railway designed Maunsell 'N' class 2-6-0 No. 31411. Built at Ashford in November 1933 as SR No. 1411 and withdrawn in April 1966.

The eighty 'N' class Moguls designed by Richard Maunsell were built over a seventeen year period from 1917 to 1934. One of the later batch 31411 is pictured at Guildford MPD, Surrey in July 1965 with classmate 31400 seen beyond. The 'Ns' were a highly successful locomotive used throughout the ex-Southern Railway's system and were well-liked by crews. One has survived to be preserved, ex-BR 31874 currently undergoing a complex and protracted restoration at the Swanage Railway.
