GWR Manor 4-6-0 No 7827 Lydham Manor approaches Machynlleth with the 6pm Aberystwyth to Whitchurch train on July 24, 1963.

Peter Kerslake says "The Manors were the mainstay of the passenger workings on the Cambrian from 1943. 7827 "Lydham Manor", built in 1950 and was transferred there from Chester in 1958. Withdrawn from Shrewsbury in October 1965 "Lydham Manor" was the first of nine of the class to be rescued from Barry scrap yard and went initially to Buckfastleigh in South Devon. Following restoration it returned to service in 1973 on the Kingswear line."
