The photo shows it in Derby Works where it was used as a static test bed for power units from class 20’s undergoing repairs. The sign over the cab door says 'Keep Off Loco Under Test'.
Although withdrawn from Eastfield at the beginning of February 1987, the loco was not finally cut up at MC metals, Springburn, until June 1994, being taken there by road. It was allocated, but never carried number, ADB968032.
