BR(E) A1 4-6-2 No 60157 Great Eastern with a Leeds-Kings Cross express south of Hatfield on 28 August 1954. Note the wonderful ex GNR signal gantry modernised by the LNER with upper quadrant signals but still retaining their GNR finials (one having lost its spike), the fogmans hut, the trespass sign by the bridge with a weight restriction diamond below it, telegraph and stay wires everywhere and of course the clever composition by the photographer.
