18000 1950-02-16 Swindon
Peter Kerslake says "A very interesting shot of 18000 when it had only been in Britain for 13 days since its arrival on 3rd February 1950. It had run to Badminton and back light engine to Swindon three days earlier and would make its first run to Plymouth and back to Swindon with a four coach test train on the 22nd of that month. Note the headcode discs on the roof mounted lamp bracket, the only picture I have ever seen with them in place, they would soon be removed as not being required. This must be one of the earliest unofficial photographs of 18000."
