Peter Kerslake says "18000 had worked the 7.15a.m from Paddington to Bristol on the previous day, hence the part 107 Reporting Number. 18000 had failed at Bathampton at 2.30.p.m. on its return to Paddington on the 1.50.p.m. from Temple Meads that day and was towed from Bathampton to Swindon but was back in service just a few days later. The Reporting Number and its frame had been left in place on 18000 following its arrival at Bristol in the morning on the 10th and would have been on the trailing end on the return run."
