Midland 2F 0-6-0 No.58246,a veteran of 1922, is seen still in original condition with round top firebox and 'Salter' safety valves near to the end of its days when pictured at Coalville on 15th March 1959. It had been transferred there from Derby the previous November undoubtedly for use on the West Bridge branch but must have been in poor condition as it was withdrawn in July, although it remained at Coalville until mid-1961 when it returned to Derby for scrapping.
