7034 1957c Teignmouth
This picture highlights the difficulties encountered by the cameraman at this location during the afternoon when the sun has gone over to the west and the far left of this image. 7034 Ince Castle was one of the last of the class, being withdrawn in June 1965. Note the former Wartime observation box with its narrow windows built into the base of the rock on the left, one of a number situate along the sea wall to provide shelter for lookouts keeping watch on this important section of the main line in the event of enemy attack from the sea.
