Peter Kerslake says "A work weary 4091 "Dudley Castle" is here at Exeter St. Davids having worked down from Paddington, the engine being a long standing resident of Old Oak Common but being the first true "Castle" to be withdrawn as early as January of 1959, possibly as the result of wartime damage."
