The Up express does not get much attention from the holidaymakers.

Peter Kerslake confirms "Not much interest is being shown by the elderly holidaymakers on their seats as 7029 heads away from Kennaway tunnel but a couple of little girls on Marine Parade are impressed, with a delightful array of cars parked up outside the guest houses and hotels indicating that business must be good.
The Reporting Number is unhelpful but with 7029 "Clun Castle" being allocated to Newton Abbot at this date she is doubtless on a working from Kingswear and the Torbay line, but she's not as clean as Newton Abbot's "Castles" usually were kept for some reason.
Later years took 7029 to Old Oak Common and finally in October of 1964 to Gloucester where she became the very last "Castle" in service before being withdrawn in December of 1965."
