Castle class 4-6-0 No 5039 'Rhuddlan Castle' passes Pengam Junction with the down 'Pembroke Coast Express' on June 29, 1957. The coaching stock is interesting, the first four vehicles are a LMS brake third, a Collet side corridor compartment all 3rd followed by similar Collett and Hawksworth vehicle, following this is a rake of BR Mark 1s carring the 'Pembroke Coast Express' coach boards.
