7026 1964 Bristol TM

With wooden smokebox plate and painted cabside number. With D7071. Two groups of " spotters " discuss tactics here at the northern end of Temple Meads but one bunch seem more interested in the " Hymek " than " Tenby Castle " , but the latter is certainly in a pretty run down looking condition , a far cry fom when she was one of Wolverhampton Stafford Road's finest , working to and from Paddington on the Birmingham and Wolverhampton top link services.Like many others in her class 7026 pent her last months at Wolverhampton's Oxley , and also at Birmingham's Tyseley sheds before withdrawal from that latter establishment in October , 1964.This could well be a Westcountry to Birmingam working judging by the stock , but the chalked Reporting Number " H24 " does not help me , unfortunately.
