A nice sunlit shot at an almost deserted Stourbridge Junction with Wolverhampton Stafford Road's 5045 " Earl of Dudley " with a single " All Stations " lamp in position on the smokebox door setting off on a local passenger working.
A long standing resident at Stafford Road , 5045 remained there until withdrawal came about in September of 1962 , this engine being one of her class which did not receive a double chimney during various overhauls at Swindon Works during her later years in service.
