GWR Castle 4-6-0 No 4095 Harlech Castle and 6387 with the down 'Cornishman' leaving Lostwithiel on 8 August 1959.

Peter Kerslake says "Leaving here at Lostwithiel this pair will soon face a challenging one in fifty seven climb for three miles to Treverrin tunnel, the steepest westbound climb on the main line through Cornwall.
This is an unusual pairing for the down 'Cornishman' with 4095 'Harlech Castle' probably having worked through from Bristol Temple Meads but where 6387 has been added is a bit of a mystery and their load looks to be very heavy, probably too much for the 'Castle' on its own."
