One of my better efforts from Paddington in the mid 'fifties, with Wolverhampton Stafford Road's 7026, "Tenby Castle" about to leave with the 4.10pm departure for Birmingham Snow Hill, Woverhampton, Shrewsbury and Birkenhead, the station clock showing it to be 4pm. 7026 may well be working as far as Woverhampton, quite possibly having come up from there to the Capital earlier this same day, and, as was the practice, would not have needed recoaling at Old Oak Common, but will have been turned, watered and got ready for the return run at Ranelagh "holding" yard just outside of Paddington.
