4085 1959 Bristol Temple Meads

An interesting view of one of the first series of the class as 4085 " Berkeley Castle" runs into Temple Meads from the Northern approaches with a couple of impressive Gresley teak bodied carriages leading the formation of her train. I wonder whether this is a working from Bradford or somewhere like that , and although a few years earlier this engine was allocated to 81D , which was Reading , I doubt whether this is an express from Paddington. Withdrawn from service in May of 1962 this engine was disposed of at Cashmores at NewportInteresting that the train on the left also has a Gresley coach in its formation. This looks to be a TSO... but I stand to be corrected by someone who knows his Gresley coaches better than I do!
