An Old Oak Common ‘Castle’, probably No.5093 Upton Castle, approaching Soho & Winson Green on the 10.10 am Paddington-Aberystwyth and Pwllheli ‘Cambrian Coast Express’. The ‘Castle’ would take the train as far as Shrewsbury where, at this date, it would hand-over to a ‘Manor’ which worked through to Aberystwyth, with the Pwllheli portion removed at Machynlleth and probably taken forward by a ‘Dukedog’ 4-4-0.
