With the 11.20am Kingswear-Paddington Torbay Express Shown as being a 1957 picture this shot of 5008 " Raglan Castle " on the sea wall at Teignmouth has her complete with a rather improvised figure " 2 " on the Reporting Number. Working up to Paddington from Kingswear 5008 had been a Wolverhampton Stafford Road engine according to my 1956 Shedbook, but was off Old Oak Common from the January of 1957. Newton Abbot shed was primarily responsible for the provision of locomotives for this working in the mid 'fifties, a duty which it shared with Old Oak Common.
