7036 1953-03-07 Hemerdon Bank

7036 1953-03-07 Hemerdon Bank

Old Oak Common's 7036, "Taunton Castle", the penultimate member of its class raises the echos on the lower slopes of Hemerdon bank on the 7th. March, 1953. 7036's six coach load is within the limit for an unassisted "Castle" on the banks between Plymouth and Newton Abbot and the fourth coach looks to be one of he Centenary carriages built by the GWR for use on the " Cornish Riviera". 7036's working is probably the 4:10.p.m from Plymouth which it will work back home to Paddington
