7037 1960s Old Oak Commom?

7037 1960s Old Oak Commom?

It is the only coal stage I have seen with hand rails round the top.
The last of her class , allocated initially to Worcester and thereafter to Swindon where it spent most of its terribly short working life , 7037 , " Swindon " went to Coopers' Metals at Sharpness , on the Gloucestershire bank of the River Severn , when withdrawn in March of 1963 .
That small breakers' yard , however , " sold on " the engine to Cashmores at Newport the following year as it would seem that Coopers took more condemned engines from Swindon than they were able to deal with.
