D6506 1960s Brentford Central

D6506 1960s Brentford Central

BR class 33 No D6506 in the early 1960s at Brentford Central, taken from the footbridge over the line and yards with Windmill Rd overbridge in the background. The new office block in the distance is branded Honeywell so may well be their head office in London. The older building in front of this is the Drawing Office of G.W.Garrett & Son whose registered office was 24 Windmill Road, Brentford.

Robert Waterman says "I believe this is a tranfer freight from Feltham to Willesden/Cricklewood or similar and has just passed through Brentford Central station heading for Kew Bridge station and will turn left just before the latter. "
