Great Western Railway designed Collett 'Castle' class 4-6-0 No. 7018 'Drysllwyn Castle'. Built at Swindon in June 1949 and withdrawn in September 1963.
The late Ben Brooksbank was a prolific photographer of all aspects the railway scene. At Southall Station in October 1961, he has captured the passage of an up parcels train behind 7018 in this perfectly composed image.
