Great Central Railway designed Robinson '8K' (LNER 'O4') class 2-8-0 No. 3015. Built by NBL of Glasgow in April 1919 as ROD No. 2027 and withdrawn in October 1958. Seen in July 1956 at Duffryn Yard MPD, West Glamorgan, 3015 shows some classic hallmarks of 'Swindonisation' in its safety valve cover and top feed. The hundred 'O4s' bought by the GWR from the government had all been withdrawn by 1960, several years earlier than their ex-LNER counterparts.
