Discovered in a contemporary album of sepia prints, this rare 1880s view is of mixed gauge GWR locomotives in Taunton MPD roundhouse in Somerset. The only possible identification is the 0-4-4 Saddletank No. 1310 seen receiving attention to its motion. This MAY be ex-Monmouth Railway No. 51, built by Avonside of Bristol circa 1873 and wihdrawn by 1921. Additional information most welcome!
