EE Prototype Deltic leaving York on either 17 or 19 March 1959 when it worked Newcastle - Kings Cross with DB999500 Dynamometer Car & ECS, starting from goods line adjacent to Newcastle Central, as it was not permitted into the station platforms. The first coach is unusual, it is a BR 1951 built Dynamometer Car DB999500 (based on Thompson carriage principles).
