Peter Kerslake adds "That delightful timbered hotel has appeared in so many images over the years. The Southern Region's line to North Devon and North Cornwall running via Okehampton and north Dartmoor to Plymouth is on the left with the River Exe below it. This whole area is extremely prone to flooding from the Exe ."
