BR 42 B-B Warship No D808 Centaur with the Down Cornish Riviera at Dainton East on 21 February 1960.

Peter Kerslake says "A fine study by the late and renowned photographer Peter Gray as "Centaur" tackles the one in thirty seven climb to Dainton tunnel with no assisting pilot engine required.
More successful than their earlier North British manufactured counterparts the later class 42 "Warships" saw service on the Southern Region main line express rosters between Waterloo and Exeter Central in the mid 'sixties as they became displaced from their Western Region duties by the more powerful "Western" class, but "Centaur" ended its days back on the Western Region being condemned from Newton Abbot in early October 1971
