Castle 'Swordfish' represents the old school.The shape of things to come here at Plymouth's Laira Depot late in 1959 with the Long Shed now home to the invading Diesels , together with a mass of unsightly oil drums lying around and just the water column and Swordfish to remind us of days past .Laira 's Kings and Castles would be starting to find themselves reallocated away from their familiar haunts and work would have begun on the adjacent new Diesel Depot alongside this scene , and before long Laira 's days of steam would sadly pass into the history books
