D803 1961-11-12 Old Oak

D600 Active at Old Oak Common on 12 November 1961 alongside D803 Albion. The D600s would only be found in the Capital for another six months or so, after which they were restricted to working west of Newton Abbott. ACTIVE has gained the train reporting number frame and vertical louvres since it was introduced in January 1958. It received full BR Corporate blue in April 1967, only months before the whole class was withdrawn at the end of that year.
