David J. Hayes. adds "In the late 1960s, 6A27 ran as the 12:55 from Bristol's Dr. Days Sidings to Old Oak Common (OOC) and conveyed a mixture of milk and empty stock. The service was booked to call at Swindon, Didcot, Reading and West Ealing with an arrival at OOC at 17:30 SSuX (18:20 SO). Swindon was a collection point for milk traffic back then, I believe, and there was a milk dock at West Ealing, which was also served by the trunk-haul milk and perishable trains coming up to London from West Wales and the West Country."
