Raised from the dead, on the Old Oak turntable, it had been withdrawn in January but a chronic motive power shortage prompted its re-instatement on 29 March. Other reinstatements were 814 and 829 and all three spent the summer running around without nameplates. The duties of these three locomotives were in no way restricted: two days prior to this photograph 825 was at Severn Tunnel Junction and two days after was reported on Plymouth Laira.
