An LNWR Coal Engine 0-6-0 in around 1930. I think it's the 'Pilling Pig' at Barton, returning from the G&KER to Preston. It's taken post 1923 when ex-LYR and ex-LNWR locos were drafted in to work the line, and the tender carries lamp irons, rather than the LNWR type 'sockets'.
